A pair of Cariboo British Columbia rainbows, weighing in at 5.2 & 6.3, not that long but fat!

Both caught on olive wooley buggers. Eight more were caught of this size and released that day. However, these trout do not reproduce in this lake, they are stocked each year. If they were wild producing, none would be kept...

If there was a winter kill wouldn't you want to let those trophies go so they can produce more fish.

Fish caught at Simon Lake in the Cariboo of British Columbia, caught on olive wooley buggers. The lake winter-killed last winter and all these trophies succumbed. It will take at least four years to get them back to this size.
